The schedule has been tight lately -- but I managed my newest graphite piece: IRISH DUTCH. It is an homage to my American Irish roots and my ornery Dutch breed rabbit.

MOTOR CITY COMIC-CON MADNESS!
I attended the 2015 Motor City Comic Con today! It was exhilarating and overwhelming at the same time. First, allow me to show you my own personal COS-PLAY:
FAN GIRLY GIRL
I have to admit that I am a fan of David Peterson of MOUSE GUARD fame. I love the way he renders his animals. His style really touches me. The use of ink and color ... and let's face it - those little mice are ADORABLE. I snagged one of his books and he signed it.
And this is when I went all FAN GIRL.

SUNBROS STUDIOS
I think the biggest highlight for me was sitting in on a panel discussion about self-publishing and utilizing Kick-Start to fund said publishing. Wesley and Brad Sun were intelligent, articulate and willing to answer the plethora of questions I had about self-publishing.
One step closer to the bigger dream, my Bunny Chillen. I cannot even begin to count how many times I heard, "Just do it ..." from so many artisans, publishers and writers. "It's just a matter of doing it."
I picked up Apocalypse Man from the SunBros. Wesley is a writer and business manager. Brad Sun is writer, artist and inker. They work so well in tandem.

AESTHETICS
Whenever I attend such events, there is usually a piece (or two - or three - or four) that I find that is a "must" for my own personal aesthetic. I surround myself with particular pieces that resonate and inspire me. Today I saw a piece by BRIAN WOODWARD out of Savannah, Georgia that just stopped me.
It is simply - beautiful.
