Here I shade and hide my thoughts—I
myself do not expose them,
And yet they expose me more than all
my other poems.
--Walt Whitman
Death's process exposes us to excruciating vulnerability. There is no greater strength.
Graphite and Watercolor
This scenario has us wondering what exactly is planned for the man: A hutch? Breeding? Meat? This piece is nobbit-as-prey.”
There is no vulnerability here – only power.
Graphite and Digital Color
In the end, the horizon reflects the poisoned air. Only one creature is capable of poisoning our air and destroying the planet. Is this rabbit guarding what is left of his human – or is he gloating? The viewer only knows that there is a rescuer, somewhere, distributing gas masks to “Save the Bunnies.”
This war poster is an homage to the rescuers – the ones who are on the front lines witnessing all manners of human cruelty and abuse. They take their time and money to do their best to mend the little broken lives and re-home them.
Graphite and Photo Manipulation
Time is only linear to humans. For creation, time is Kairos has a qualitative and permanent nature. This piece depicts a mere lapse in time: a moment of indeterminate time when everything happens. THAT is WHEN.
